Wow. Spent the day staring at the boat. It is hard to deceide where to
begin. I removed just about everything from the interior, like the cushions
and 8 of the 10 sails. I took 3 out of their bags, the blooper, a big light
rainbow colored jib, a big rainbow colored spinnaker, and a white beat up
spinnaker. I figured out the bilge pump
, a manually operated job with 15' or so of white 2" flexable hose, like
a vacum hose, that reaches to all the bilges. It did function a bit, it
seems to help to not have air in it. There is another
strange thing
, It has a pressure guage
, and a botton with a handle for it. The guage besides the pressure, was
labeled, 0-5 5-10 10-15, moderate, and heavy There is a 1/4 inch hose that
runs from there to a piston
mounted on the bow, which I could only guess is for the forstay. It's
function I imagine is to adjust the pressure on the forstay, or possibly
to indicate the windpresure based on the curve of the mast? I have not
seen anything like a backstay adjuster, so possibly this is it. The
head
has standing room if you open the hatch. Also, it has a fitting on the
bow for a pump out. I have seen the port-o-potties with such a feathure,
and I think it may be preferable to get that variety. I would like to raise
the mast
, to see how the rigging is, and if it all works, but it seems to weigh
a couple of hundred pounds. It is not that easy to work with. Mast raising
will be a challange. Wiring
is iffy looking. I do not know if it is worth while to redo. There are
two spots for batteries, on either side of the head. It seems to be wired
for 2 batteries. There are no batteries.
